Introduction

There are about 4032 enterprises of foreign suppliers which have AQSIQ certification from 90 countries and regions. The registered scrap classification includes metal, paper, plastics, ferrous metal, iron and steel, slag, ship, textiles and wood. (As of the end of 2008)

There are about 3159 enterprises of domestic consignees which have AQSIQ certification from 35 provinces. (As of the end of 2008)

AQSIQ registered enterprises of foreign suppliers and domestic consignees are mainstream enterprises, accounting for 60 percent - 70 percent of international scrap trade.

In order to provide a platform to reduce risks and transaction cost for domestic consignees and foreign suppliers, and a comprehensive understanding of China and the global scrap industry, market trends and policy changes, China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine　Association Reused and Recycling Branch will host China International Scrap Conference (ChinaScrap2010).

China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association is guided and supervised by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine　Association Reused and Recycling Branch is the professional scrap association of China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association.

The conference will invite national ministries and commissions to state future policy changes of imported scrap industry, sum up common problems of imported scrap business and invite core business units in charge of scrap importation to analyze. From common problems faced by the whole industry and the perspective of academic research, build a business communication platform for global and China mainstream scrap enterprises and promote trade between foreign suppliers and domestic consignees.　　

The conference is co-hosted by Plastics Recycling Committee of CPPIA and operated by BJ Guojiajiye Info. Co. Ltd.
